Glossy vs Matte eyes strain
  • Hey. There are lots of articles about matte vs glossy screens, which is better, which is worse, pros, cons and etc... They all are about the same: glossy - high contrast, colorful; matte - no reflection. What's about the eyes strain (or stress, whatever) on each of them?

High contrast usually means more stress to your eyes, doesn't it? But when the contrast is too low, I feel tired soon as well. But I'm using computer a lot and this is something I care about the most - that's why I would like to see some results of experiments, tests or something. I just couldn't find any. I can't test it my self because all laptops I can use have glossy. I think matte is a bit harder to find (but there are some for sale, of course) and it might be worth buying one if glossy is going to ruin my eyes or something...

P.S. This is not about reflections on the screen. Let's say we use both screens in a room that is not too bright.
